AC Milan ultras agree to lay off contract rebel linked with Liverpool, Tottenham

AC Milan’s ultras will reportedly not target contract rebel Franck Kessie with abuse at Sunday’s home clash with Lazio.

Kessie has been linked with a free-transfer move away from Milan next summer. Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have all been mentioned as suitors for the Ivory Coast star.

Calciomercato even claim Paris Saint-Germain have already made a contract offer to Kessie.

PSG are understood to have placed an £8.5m per year deal on the table. That is apparently the sort of contract Kessie is demanding in Milan.

Milan Live via Sport Witness, report that Kessie’s entourage are looking for around 7m net per season, but Milan’s offer at the moment is stuck at €5.5m a year.

The same outlet namechecked PSG, Chelsea and Tottenham as the three clubs vying for Kessie.

But with the 24-year-old refusing to commit himself to the Rossoneri it was suggested that groups of the Curva Sud of Milan would make their feelings known at the San Siro.

Tuttosport though report that Milan’s hardcore fans “have decided not to contest Kessie”.  There will be “no whistles” from the ultras, although “isolated protests in other areas of the San Siro” could take place.

PSG’s hope

It’s understood the fans will try and make a positive atmosphere and try and make Kessie “feel appreciated and important for the Milan environment”.

That could well all be in vain.

Todofichajes have stated Kessie has ‘opted’ for PSG’s proposal that would see him sign as a free agent next summer. In doing so, he has reportedly rejected an offer from Milan’s local rivals Inter.

Pochettino’s side have become synonymous with superstar free agent acquisitions in recent times. As well as Lionel Messi, PSG also acquired Georginio Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos and Donnarumma for nothing this summer.
