Agent tells West Ham, Wolves and mystery suitor chances of signing striker

The agent of Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri has told West Ham, Wolves and a mystery Premier League suitor that they have no chance of signing his client this summer.

En-Nesyri has been linked with West Ham since January as one of their main targets to replace Sebastien Haller. They have waited until the summer to choose their next striker and the Morocco international is still on their minds. But they face a battle if they want to sign him.

First of all, they face competition from two Premier League rivals. One is Wolves, who need more firepower up front, while the other is unnamed.

But more importantly, Sevilla are set to stand in their way. And besides, it seems En-Nesyri has little interest in a move to England.

With that in mind, his agent, Anass Ouzifi, has now revealed that any bids from the Premier League are destined to fail.

“We don’t want to hear any offer,” Ouzifi told El Desmarque. “There are three teams from England but he doesn’t want to go.

“We don’t want to talk about this issue because En-Nesyri doesn’t want to leave Sevilla and stays this year in Seville.”

The 24-year-old is clearly settled where he is. Even though Premier League clubs could double his salary, according to El Desmarque, he wants to stay put.

Valued at around €40m, En-Nesyri has scored 30 goals from 78 games for Sevilla over the past two seasons. With Champions League football on the horizon for Julen Lopetegui’s side, it seems he is ready to add to those tallies.

En-Nesyri remains under contract at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan until 2025. He has spent his entire professional career so far in Spain and doesn’t look likely to leave any time soon.

West Ham striker search goes on

The pursuit of En-Nesyri has looked like it has been heading towards a dead-end for some time for West Ham. These comments only decrease their fading hopes further.

As such, they will have to look elsewhere for a Haller replacement. But it seems they have an extensive shortlist still to work through.

For example, one report recently suggested their chances of going back in for another long-term target there are increasing.
