David Moyes has West Ham in pole position for two free-transfer signings
West Ham are set to pursue two free-transfer signings next month as David Moyes looks to add some depth to his squad.
The Hammers are looking for attacking options with Harry Redknapp claiming Michail Antonio looks “tired”. Antonio has been Moyes’ main attacking threat so far this season, but former West Ham boss Redknapp believes the reliance on the 31-year-old is taking it’s toll.
“They are a little bit short up front,” Redknapp told talkSPORT. “Antonio, he has to do it every week and if he gets an injury.
“He looked a bit jaded and a bit tired the other week. They have no-one who they can chop around. Bowen can play through the middle.
“But I think they may look to get another striker perhaps in the window.”
With that in mind TodoFichajes place the Hammers at the head of the market to sign former Man Utd man Adnan Januzaj.
The 26-year-old Belgium forward will not renew his contract with Real Sociedad and looks set to leave San Sebastian on a free transfer next summer.
Now the Spanish outlet claim West Ham and Barcelona are “best placed” to sign the forward. It’s reported that Januzaj was intent on returning to the Premier League after his four-year spell at Old Trafford.
However, new Barca boss Xavi is very keen on the player and has apparently “been following Januzaj’s evolution for a long time”.
Januzaj will hardly ease the goalscoring burden on Antonio though. He has managed just two goals in 25 appearances for Real this season.

Johnstone a target for West Ham
Elsewhere, Moyes has also been linked with adding a new goalkeeper to his ranks.
No. 1 Lukasz Fabianski is 36 and is out of contract next summer. And, according to The Telegraph, West Ham are in leading the race to sign Sam Johnstone from West Brom.
England man Johnstone looks set to run down his contract at The Hawthorns. And West Ham are “at the front of the queue” to sign him on a free next summer.
Johnstone, 28, has kept 11 clean sheets in 22 appearances in the Championship this season. He has also kept his place in the England squad despite relegation last season. He has played twice for the Three Lions against San Marino in World Cup qualifying.
