Euro Paper Talk: Arsenal aiming high in four-way battle for Bayern bargain; Tottenham ready to bid for Ligue 1 starlet

Two more Premier League clubs have joined the race for an exit-linked Bayern Munich midfielder, while Tottenham are showing an interest in a Ligue 1 talent once close to their rivals – all in Tuesday’s Euro transfer gossip.

ARSENAL, MAN UTD EYE TOLISSO

Bayern Munich have set an asking price of at least €10m for Corentin Tolisso, who has admirers at Manchester United and Arsenal.

That’s according to Bild, who think Tolisso is the most likely player to make way as Bayern seek to find space to sign Marcel Sabitzer from RB Leipzig. Both players are in the final year of their contracts, so transfers are likely.

While Sabitzer is set to stay in the Bundesliga by moving to Bayern, Tolisso could arrive in the Premier League. Despite being linked with Juventus as well, England could be an option for the Frenchman.

West Ham were recently mentioned as contenders for his signature. However, it has now emerged that he has other suitors in the Premier League.

According to Bild, Arsenal are among those interested in Tolisso. The Gunners have been seeking to upgrade their midfield recently, already adding Albert Sambi Lokonga with an eye to the future.

World Cup winner Tolisso would further strengthen their ranks with more experience and quality. Bayern are open to his departure and will ask for an eight-figure sum, although the price may not be too high.

Tolisso has four suitors

Tolisso is returning to training after time out with injury and coronavirus, but his time back with Bayern may be short-lived.

Also in contention for his signature are Manchester United, who are looking for another midfielder whether or not Paul Pogba leaves. But Tolisso is perhaps not quite as defensive as the profile of player they have in mind.

Thus, he will have to consider his options. Arsenal do not have European football on offer, but could still be an appealing destination given their stature.

It seems to be a four-way battle, though, so Tolisso’s future is still all to play for.
