Euro Paper Talk: Levy wants to spend big portion of Harry Kane money on tasty Lille trio; Liverpool green light to sign Serie A star

Daniel Levy is dreaming of an exciting triple Tottenham raid on Lille for three of their Ligue 1 title-winning squad, Leicester are closing on a €25m midfielder signing, while Wednesday’s Euro Paper Talk claims Liverpool have been cleared to sign a €40m Serie A star.

CELIK, BOTMAN WANTED BY TOTTENHAM

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly ready to spent a vast chunk of their expected Harry Kane windfall this summer on a trio of Lille stars.

The French outfit have upset the applecart in Ligue 1 by pipping big-spending PSG to the title, sparking jubilant scenes. However, their success is likely to see a plethora of their players lured away, with their side set to be broken up.

The first departure is likely to see goalkeeper Mike Maignan move to AC Milan as a replacement for Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Italy keeper has been linked with Juventus and Barcelona.

However, Lille face a battle to keep three more stars, according to reports.

Indeed, L’Equipe reports that Tottenham are readying an approach for defensive duo Zeki Celik and Sven Botman.

Turkey star Celik is wanted by Spurs as a replacement for the departing Serge Aurier. He’s enjoyed a brilliant season with Lille, scoring four times and adding two assists.

Spurs are also keen on Botman, who has shone at centre-half. Botman is valued in the €40m bracket and has been linked with Liverpool in recent months. The Dutchman only signed last summer though and is one star Lille don’t want to lose. In fact, Lille state they’d reject all approaches for him as he’s a player they plan to build their side around.

That said, the defender did drop a hint about the prospects of a move to the Premier League.

Jonathan David also in demand

It’s a similar case with Jonathan David. The Canada striker joined last summer from Gent and has proved a big success. He’s being mentioned as a possible successor to Kane in the Spurs attack.

Furthermore, Todofijaces claim the attacker is also viewed by Real Madrid as a transfer alternative to Kylian Mbappe.

The trio all reportedly come recommended by Tottenham transfer guru Steve Hitchen. Deals for all three, albeit unlikely, would set Tottenham back a vast portion of their Kane transfer kitty.
