Euro Paper Talk: Three to leave Man Utd as Ten Hag demands Villarreal hero eyed by Spurs; Arsenal near two striker deals

Manchester United are readying a fresh move for Tottenham target Pau Torres, with three stars to leave Old Trafford, Arsenal are closing on two new forwards, while Wednesday’s Euro Paper Talk claims Liverpool and Chelsea are chasing an Angers striker.

TEN HAG PUSHING HARD FOR PAU TORRES DEAL

Manchester United are reportedly pushing to sign Pau Torres once again this summer with the defender catching Erik Ten Hag’s eye.

United are in the process of a major rebuilding job both on and off the pitch this summer – and will start by appointing Ten Hag.

With a verbal agreement in place, thoughts are turning towards their playing squad – with several players set to leave.

Three of those are likely to come in the heart of defence with Phil Jones, Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe all on their way.

And Ten Hag is targeting a move to bring in Torres as his first signing as United boss as a replacement.

United looked long and hard at Torres last season before ultimately plumping for Raphael Varane. Torres’ decision to remain at Villarreal has been justified that said with the 25-year-old’s side advancing to the Champions League semi-finals.

However, Goal claims United are ready to make a fresh move to sign him, though his move will not come cheap.

With two years remaining on his deal come the summer, the Yellow Submarine are likely to demand around £50m for the star.

United’s renewed links to Torres comes just as rumours of a move to Tottenham are resurfacing too.

That’s amid reports that director Fabio Paratici will use Giovani Lo Celso as part of a swap deal with Villarreal for Pau Torres.

As well as being an elite defender, Torres has also shown he has an eye for goal too. Indeed, he has five goals in 37 appearances for Unai Emery’s side this season.
