Everton agree very specific transfer terms for deal prompted by Man Utd

Everton have reached a very specific agreement with Juventus for the exit of striker Moise Keane caused by Cristiano Ronaldo joining Man Utd, it’s been claimed.

Kean has been heavily linked to the exit door all summer. He has only been a Toffees player for two years but he has struggled to settle on Merseyside. As such, the writing has been on the walls for a while now. What has been up in the air is who he will be joining.

It was very much a two man race between a pair of European heavyweights. Juve, the club where Kean grew up at, are always mentioned next to his name.

However, Paris-Saint Germain was his loan destination for last season. And he impressed those in France over the course of the campaign.

He bagged a goal every other game in Ligue 1 and also netted three times in the Champions League.

Earlier this summer the 21-year-old was firmly on their target list. But since their influx of major talents, their interest has gone cold.

Juve therefore had a clear path to Kean. And now Ronaldo’s exit from the club has materialised, they have struck.

Goal report the Italian side have agreed a deal with the Toffees. They say the deal will be a two-year loan which will become permanent depending on certain conditions.

Those conditions are not known, but it is almost certain Kean will not don the blue kit of Everton ever again. Sky Sports report the total cost of the move will be about £17m.

Juve were only interested in a loan deal for Kean and have got their wish. With the Italy international being so young and showing such potential, a fee would be considerable.

He has three years left on his Everton deal and the Old Lady simply couldn’t afford to buy him this summer. Therefore, Everton will have to wait to get their money back.

One loan in, one loan out at Everton

Meanwhile, the Toffees are hoping to sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles on loan from Arsenal ahead of the transfer window deadline, claims a reliable source.

Rafa Benitez is looking for a right-back and the 23-year-old England hopeful is on their radar, according to Sky Sports News.

Arsenal are understood to be open to letting the versatile player leave again on loan.

Last season Maitland-Niles spend the second half of the season at West Brom. He played the majority of his games in central midfield, but Everton want the player as a defensive option.
