Everton in line for cash bonanza as misfit decides on next move

Massimiliano Allegri’s appointment as Juventus manager has reportedly convinced Moise Kean that he wants to return to the Italian giants.

Kean has just completed a season-long loan with Paris Saint-German from Everton. He joined the Toffees in the summer of 2019 but failed to make the expected impact. The Italy international enjoyed just six Premier League starts and the decision was made to loan him to PSG last October.

It was a move that certainly paid off, with a return of 17 goals from 41 appearances in all competitions. He had been tipped to stay in the French capital although sporting director Leonardo confessed in March it would be tough.

“Difficult,” he told France Bleu. “Everton didn’t want to lose him (permanently). He plays very well, he scores.

“We could not do anything other than a loan and I think that today having him available for a year is already very positive.”

The 21-year-old began his career at Juve while Allegri was in charge of the Old Lady. He made 21 appearances in all competitions and scored eight goals.

The Italian starlet spent the 2017-2018 campaign on loan with Hellas Verona and enjoyed moderate success at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi. But he was only a peripheral player after returning to Turin and opted for a switch to Merseyside.

That did not work out but he found his feet with PSG. Both his brother and the forward himself recently suggested a return to Juve would suit.

And now Italian outlet Gazzetta is reporting that he only has eyes for the Serie A giants after news of Allegri’s return.

Everton won’t let Kean go on the cheap

It was thought that PSG held all the aces over Kean’s future after the way he had settled into Parisian life. It was recently reported that they were trying to negotiate with Everton over his transfer price.

But it may well be Juventus that start talking to the Merseysiders if they are to land the striker. Tuttomercato Web have suggested that Everton will demand at least £34m for the youngster.

However, they may now ask for more with the news that Juve might now be in the running. Other clubs could also show their hand when the summer window opens.

But it appears as though the draw of his former club plus Allegri means Kean will push for Turin.
