EXCLUSIVE: Nottingham Forest fail with second bid for in-demand winger

Nottingham Forest have had a second bid rejected for Blackpool’s in-demand winger Josh Bowler, TEAMtalk understands.

A host of Championship clubs are chasing Bowler, who joined The Tangerines in the summer from Everton. The 22-year-old has been excellent for Neil Critchley’s men and that is why he is now the target of a number of clubs including the likes of Blackburn, Fulham and Stoke City.

Forest themselves are battling to keep winger Brennan Johnson and manager Steve Cooper is looking for options as they push for promotion.

Forest had a bid rebuffed earlier this month, and now a second offer has been turned down by Blackpool – who are battling to keep him.

Indeed, Critchley is hopeful of keeping Bowler beyond this month, saying: “He’s of the opinion that what will be will be, but he’s more than happy here and he’s playing fantastic football

“So if he continues in that vein his future might get taken out of our hands and his hands.”
