Daniel Levy has an idea in mind for getting a stellar deal for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, while Aston Villa eye a double Chelsea swoop – both in all the latest Paper Talk.
TOTTENHAM SWAP COULD SEE KANE LEAVE
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would be willing to listen if Manchester City offered £70million and a prized attacker for Harry Kane, according to a report.
Spurs head into the summer transfer window with a big enough job trying to find a new manager. However, the future of their star striker has complicated things further amid reports that he wants to leave. In fact, he has reportedly told his club that he wants to move to another Premier League side.
Given his price tag, that new club will likely be City, Manchester United or Chelsea. Nevertheless, Levy has proved a difficult man to negotiate with and he will want as good a deal as possible to see Kane transfer to a rival.
City boss Guardiola would be ‘reluctant’ to lose Jesus. However, he would accept his departure as an easier way to get the England captain.
Guardiola would prefer to let centre-back Nathan Ake go, but Spurs would be better off getting Jesus as a direct replacement for their star man.
Kane admitted in a recent interview with Gary Neville that he would love to link up with City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.
However, pundit Stan Collymore has claimed that Chelsea’s Champions League triumph has put them in the driving seat for the striker.
Kane enjoyed another strong season, winning the Golden Boot while also notching the most Premier League assists.
He will look to cap it all off with a strong run at Euro 2020, but Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate says that he does not expect his players to seal transfers during the tournament.
