Paper Talk: Man Utd strong favourites to seal powerful striker deal; Tottenham line-up perfect Lloris replacement

Manchester United have emerged as strong favourites to seal a £15m striker deal, while Thursday’s transfer gossip claims that Tottenham will swoop for an Old Trafford first-team regular this summer.

GHANA HOTSHOT MAN UTD BOUND

Man United are now the strong favourites to sign FC Nordsjaelland striker Kamaldeen Sulemana after talks this week.

It was revealed on Monday that a United delegation had flown out to Denmark for talks over the potential transfer of the Ghana international with chairman Tom Vernon.

Football Insider stated that the Red Devils had outbid fellow suitors Ajax for the versatile attacker, putting them firmly in the driving seat to seal a deal.

The Dutch giants have submitted a package worth £12m in total for Sulemana. However, United are willing to meet his £15m asking price.

However, the report adds that there are still plenty of hurdles to overcome, including red tape. Under the new post-Brexit transfer rules, Sulemana does not have enough points to currently gain a work permit.

However, that will change if the teenage forward makes one more competitive appearance for Ghana or if the Danish league climbs one place in the Uefa co-efficients.

Ghana are next in action on 8 June when they play against Morocco as part of their preparation for the African qualifiers for next year’s World Cup.

If Sulemana features in that match then a major stumbling block to United landing the starlet will be removed.

United have made the capture of the teen star a top priority after scouting him extensively this season.

Sulemana, who only joined Nordsjaelland in February of last year, has scored 10 goals and added seven assists in 28 appearances for the Danish outfit this term.
