Paper Talk: Tottenham agree monumental deal as Levy pulls off transfer masterstroke; Arsenal cleared to sign Sweden winger

Tottenham appear to have secured the signing of an in-demand Serie A star, Liverpool have worries over Sadio Mane, while Monday’s transfer gossip claims Arsenal are clear to land a Sweden winger.

VLAHOVIC DEAL ‘AGREED’ FOR TOTTENHAM

Tottenham have reportedly won the race to sign Dusan Vlahovic after Daniel Levy agreed to break the club’s transfer record to sign the striker.

The Fiorentina striker is one of the hottest properties in European football, having scored 21 goals last season. He also has 10 goals in 13 games so far this season to underline why the likes of Juventus and Arsenal are also keen.

And with Vlahovic having turned down a new deal, Fiorentina also recently admited his sale looked likely in the January window.

However, the Daily Express, citing il Corriere dello Sport, claims it is Tottenham who will sign the striker.

They report that the striker had looked likely to join Juventus. However, knowing they don’t want to sell to a Serie A rival, Spurs chairman Levy has reportedly pulled off a masterstroke.

He’s reportedly vowed to match any offer Juve make for the Serbian striker, ensuring La Viola don’t miss out on a penny of Vlahovic’s transfer fee.

They have already gifted Federico Chiesa to the Old Lady and hope to avoid a repeat at all costs. And sensing that opportunity, Levy has seemingly stepped in to win the race.

And the striker is reportedly happy to move to north London where he will work under respected Italian coach Antonio Conte.

Harry Kane is the only out and out striker in Conte’s squad. But his struggle for form at club level, together with ongoing speculation on his future, means it was essentially from a Tottenham point of view that Vlahovic will be signed.
