Pundit tips up Liverpool to beat trio of Premier League rivals to stunning Harry Kane swoop

Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp believes Liverpool could be one of three potential landing spots for England skipper Harry Kane this summer.

Kane looks certain to quit Spurs at the end of the season in pursuit of the silverware he craves. Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United are among the clubs said to be looking to seal what would arguably be the Premier League transfer of the summer.

Daniel Levy is certain to demand well in excess of £100million for the club’s talisman, who will turn 28 in July.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has previously stated his admiration for the prolific Tottenham frontman. However, he may be out of FSG’s price range – unless they offload some fringe stars first.

Kane, when speaking to Gary Neville on The Overlap podcast earlier this week, admitted he was open to leaving Spurs. He also admitted that he will hold crunch talks with Daniel Levy about his future.

When quizzed about whether he could be considering his future in north London, Kane said: “I think so. I think it’s definitely a conversation to be had with the club. Yeah, like you say, I want to be playing in the biggest games. The biggest moments.

“Like, this season I’m there watching the Champions League, watching the English teams in there doing amazing. They are the games that I want to be involved in.

“I want to be in them games. So for sure, it’s a moment in my career where I have to kind of reflect and see where I’m at and have a good, honest conversation with the chairman. I hope that we can have that conversation.

“I’m sure that he’ll want to set out the plan of where he sees it. But ultimately it’s going to be down to me and how I feel and what’s going to be the best for me and my career at this moment in time.”

Liverpool well in the mix

And now Redknapp has suggested that Liverpool could be in the mix to sign Kane in the upcoming window alongside City and United, although no mention of Chelsea.

“What a signing he would be, whoever signs him,” the former Spurs boss said on Redknapp’s Big Night Out show on Sky.

“If he went to Man United, for instance, you would fancy them next year to have a big chance of winning. He makes such a difference.

“He can turn a team. Liverpool, Man United, Man City. Where would he go? One of them three.”

At this stage, City appear to be the favourites to land Kane, especially with record scorer Sergio Aguero leaving.

However, it may come down to the highest bidder, which would be music to Levy’s ears – if he decides to sell.
