Tottenham man narrows transfer move down to duo with exit ‘a certainty’

Everton look to be challenged by Aston Villa in the pursuit of wantaway Spurs midfielder Harry Winks, with a report stating he will likely make the switch to one of those sides.

The 25-year-old has been on the shortlist of both sides for some time now. It seems likely if he is to move, it will be to one of either Villa or Everton.

With the state of Winks’ career at present, it seems a good time to move on to pastures new.

The midfielder is apparently keen to move away from Spurs in a bid to revive his career, per Caught Offside.

His desire makes sense, due to his role in the Spurs side at present. Winks has only featured in 60 minutes of Premier League action this season.

The report states the interest is high from both sides. A Spurs insider has stated it is very likely one of Villa or Everton will land Winks in January.

“100%, it’ll be either Villa or Everton, but in January it’ll only be on loan,” they said.

With the injury to Abdoulaye Doucoure, Winks could certainly be a helpful contributor to the Everton midfield.

The side will want to continue their good form, in a bid to improve on their 10th place finish last season.

However, Villa are also on an upwards trajectory, and Winks would fit well into Dean Smith’s side. As such, there will be an interesting battle to land the England international.

Everton interested in Real Madrid star

Everton have been linked with a move for Real Madrid star Marcelo.

The full-back has apparently told Los Blancos he wants to move away from the side at the end of his contract.

Though a report has stated Fluminese, where he started his career, seems the most likely destination.

Though Marcelo himself has not commented on the situation, so there is a chance Everton could pursue a deal.
