Predicted Tottenham team for game against Everton: Strong selection expected by Antonio Conte
Following an up-and-down run, the predicted Tottenham team to face Everton will surely see Antonio Conte go very strong in search of a win.
Under Conte, Tottenham have been an inconsistent team. Indeed, Spurs recently ended a Manchester City win streak that had run since December with a 3-2 win.
However, Spurs also lost to Wolves and Burnley either side of that victory, going down 2-0 and 1-0 respectively. In their last game, the north London side were stunned as Championship Middlesbrough dumped them out of the FA Cup.
Conte wants his side to get out of the habit of winning then losing, which he mentioned ahead of the match.
“My reaction was that I was disappointed and frustrated for the result. For sure, to have this up and down I don’t like. I always said this from my first day when I arrived,” he said.
The Italian manager will be keen on getting back to winning ways, and bringing top players back in will help to achieve that goal.
“[Rodrigo] Bentancur is available and the same for Lucas Moura. Skipp and Tanganga still not available,” he said.
The additions of Bentancur and Moura will mean for a stronger squad than the last couple of games.
Last time out – Middlesbrough 1-0 Tottenham
Hugo Lloris started in net, with Ben Davies, Eric Dier and Cristian Romero the three centre-backs. Dier almost scored a wonderful free kick, only for it to be saved when heading for the top corner.
Matt Doherty and Ryan Sessegnon played as the wing-backs, with Harry Winks and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the centre of midfield.
Dejan Kulusevski and Heung-Min Son played as the wide men.
Harry Kane started up top, and had a goal ruled out for offside.
Predicted Tottenham team against Everton
Lloris is likely to remain in net. The centre-backs from the last game could all start again.
Doherty and Sessegnon have impressed of late, so could play in either wing-back position again.
Bentancur could replace Skipp, given he played in the midfield before his injury, and Hojbjerg could play alongside him.
Kulusevksi has had a good impact since joining, so the front three of him, Kane and Son is likely to remain. Moura could have an impact from the bench.
Predicted Tottenham XI: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Doherty, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon; Kulusevksi, Kane, Son
