Report: West Ham eyeing up a move for 23-year-old French attacker
West Ham United have reportedly identified Nottingham Forest attacker Arnaud Kalimuendo as a target.
According to a report from Jeunes Footeux, they are looking to sign the 23-year-old attacker in January. The player joined Nottingham Forest in August, but he has struggled for opportunities in the Premier League. Most of his gametime has come in the European competitions. He could look to move on for regular playing time, and West Ham would be able to provide him with that opportunity.
West Ham could use Arnaud Kalimuendo
They need more quality and cutting in the final third and the versatile attacker would be ideal. The 23-year-old is capable of operating anywhere across the front three. He will add goals, pace and flair to the side. The opportunity to join West Ham could be interesting for the player, especially if Nottingham Forest fails to provide him with the gametime he needs. He will not want to sit on the bench at the English club.
Meanwhile, West Ham are fighting for survival in the Premier League and they need to improve the team. They have looked too toothless in the attack at times and they need to improve in that area of the pitch. Signing the 23-year-old could represent an excellent piece of business.

Given his situation at Nottingham Forest, he could be available for a reasonable amount of money. The player has the technical attributes to do well in English football, and he could establish himself as a key player for the Hammers. Kalimuendo will look to sort out his future quickly and focus on his football once again. It will be interesting to see if he is allowed to leave the club next month.
