Euro Paper Talk: Paratici going all out to appease Conte, Kane with £75m new partner for Tottenham talisman; Arsenal join race for Bundesliga midfielder

Fabio Paratici is ready to do all he can to bring a new strike partner to Tottenham for Harry Kane, while Friday’s Euro Paper Talk claims that Arsenal have joined the race to sign a Bundesliga midfielder.

PARATICI TO GIFT KANE NEW STRIKE PARTNER

Tottenham sporting director Fabio Paratici is reportedly ready to pull out all the stops to bring Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez to north London as Harry Kane’s new strike partner.

Antonio Conte has worked wonders with a Spurs side that were going nowhere fast under Nuno Espirito Santo. leading them to fourth in the Premier League table.

And now that rumours have died down over Kane leaving the club, attention has been switched to building a better team around the England skipper.

To that end, Football Transfers claims that Tottenham are pushing to sign Martinez again.

The Argentina international is known to be chasing a move this summer, with Inter weighing up another Spurs target Paulo Dybala as his replacement.

Martinez, who has been branded a ‘very complete’ and ‘spectacular’ frontman by none other than Lionel Messi for his qualities, has scored 14 times for Inter this season.

Martinez will not come cheap

The Nerazzurri are thought to value Martinez at around the £75m mark, although that will almost certainly be more than Daniel Levy wants to pay.

Quite where Martinez will play is also a bit of mystery, given Conte’s preference to play a front three. The prolific Son Heung-Min and January signing Dejan Kulusevski are thriving in the wide positions.

Martinez does have the quality to play a deeper-lying role, although that is where Kane has also excelled this term.

Despite that, adding a player of Martinez’s quality to an already lethal attacking trio can only be a good thing.
