Liverpool step up pursuit of double signing with one player already agreeing terms

Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye from PSG this summer.

According to a report from RMC Sport, Mbaye has already agreed to a five-year deal with the Premier League club, and he’s ready to join them.

Liverpool will need to step up their efforts to reach an agreement with the French club.

Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye could join Liverpool

On the other hand, Barcola is a priority target for Liverpool as well, and the 23-year-old is hoping to sort out his future quickly. He is currently not a part of the PSG squad in the ongoing matches, and he is waiting for his future to be resolved. Liverpool remain in active discussions to sign both players, and it will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done.

They need more quality on the flanks, and manager Andoni Iraola has stressed the need for reinforcement in the wide areas. Signing the two players would help Liverpool improve immensely.

They struggled without Luis Diaz last season, and they are now without Mohamed Salah as well. Signing two quality wide players will be a priority for them before the window closes.

Barcola and Mbaye could boost Liverpool

Both players are likely to cost a premium, and Liverpool will have to pay a substantial amount to get the deals done. They have also been linked with Brighton star Yankuba Minteh.

Barcola and Mbaye are unlikely to play regularly at PSG this season, so it would make sense for them to move on and join a club where they can play a key role. Regular football in England could bring out the best in them and help them fulfil their potential.
