Man Utd star gives agent priority for transfer future but faces financial frustration
Paul Pogba has reportedly instructed his agent Mino Raiola on where he sees his future being, though he may face some financial frustration as a result.
Pogba is trundling towards a disappointing exit from Old Trafford. The Red Devils seem resigned to losing a player they splashed nearly £90m on for free. The situation is one which neither party would have foreseen when he re-joined the club in 2016.
Nevertheless, that is the reality they are faced with. And with a new United contract now almost definitely out of the picture, the France international is focusing on his next move.
The 28-year-old being up for grabs has understandably grabbed the attention of Europe’s big boys.
And of those teams, Pogba would prefer a return to Juventus, according to Italian paper Gazetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness).
They report the midfielder has told the infamous Raiola to give priority to the club he spent four years with from 2012-2016.
He is said to favour them over Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. They are the other main pursuers.
However, Pogba may have to make a sacrifice to play for Juve once more. That’s because his wages are a considerable stumbling block.
It’s believed he receives in the region of €14m in bonuses at United. That is something the Old Lady could not offer him.

But they do have some help. The report states that Italy’s Growth Decree may mean Pogba would pay around half of the taxes he would elsewhere.
That would go some way to balance out the loss in bonuses. And the Italian media suggest he could even take a pay cut to facilitate the move.
They say the relationship between Pogba and Juventus is becoming ‘increasingly less secret’. They appear to be in the driving seat at present.
Pogba shortlisted by Xavi
Meanwhile, Pogba’s name reportedly features on a list of four players Xavi would like to target if he becomes the next Barcelona coach.
El Nacional make the claim. Another Raiola client, Erling Haaland, is alongside the United man on the list.
Xavi also wants Dani Olmo, the RB Leipzig attacker who previously came through the club’s academy. He would be willing to return to Camp Nou, potentially even in January.
And he’s interested in Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde too. The Frenchman was a top target for Chelsea in the summer before a disagreement over his fee.
