Paper Talk: Man Utd informed of price tag for cheaper Haaland option

Man Utd have been told they will need to pay £35m to get their hands on a Bundesliga striker this summer, while Man City have lined up a replacement for Fernandinho, all in the papers.

Manchester United have been told that they will have to pay £35m for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Andre Silva this summer. (Express)

United are looking for a striker this summer with the future of Edinson Cavani in doubt. It’s widely understood that their main target is Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland. However, the prolific Norway striker is a man in demand with Real Madrid, Man City and Chelsea also interested in him.

That may lead Ole Gunnar Solskjaer down another path and Silva has been mentioned as an alternative. And now German outlet Frankfurter Rundschau says Frankfurt will want £35m to secure Silva this summer.

The 25-year-old has blasted 26 goals in the 2020/2021 season after recapturing his form in the Bundesliga.
