Predicted Tottenham team to face West Ham: No new injury concerns means Conte will field familiar eleven
After a period of good form for their attackers, the predicted Tottenham team to face West Ham should see Conte stick with a strong side.
Up-and-down results have been a feature of Tottenham’s season, and that has been no different of late. Indeed, Spurs followed up their 3-2 loss against Manchester United with a 2-0 victory over Brighton.
Prior to that, Tottenham beat Everton in a resounding 5-0 victory, but suffered an FA Cup shock, losing 1-0 to Middlesbrough.
Nevertheless, Harry Kane has found form, bagging four goals in the last three games. Antonio Conte will likely stick with the strength of Kane and his attacking partners in Sunday’s clash with West Ham.
However, there are some pre-existing injury concerns in the Spurs side, which Conte touched on ahead of the match.
“About Ryan [Sessegnon], we’re waiting four weeks to have another scan and then if everything is okay he’ll restart training sessions with us,” he said.
“With Japhet [Tanganga] the medical department tried until the end to find a solution but in the end it was the best solution for the player and the doctor to have this operation, this surgery to clear his knee. He will be ready next season.”
Last time out – Brighton 0-2 Tottenham
Skipper Hugo Lloris started in goal. The back three consisted of the regular trio of Cristian Romero, Eric Dier and Ben Davies.
Sergio Reguilon started at left wing-back, with Matt Doherty on the right. The Irishman is now the undisputed No 1 at right-wingback ahead of summer recruit Emerson Royal.
The midfield duo was formed by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur, who have formed a promising partnership since the latter arrived from Juventus in January.
The red-hot attacking trio of Kane, Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-min started. They have 25 league goals between them this term.
Predicted Tottenham team against West Ham
The team is not likely to change following on from the 2-0 victory in the week.
Lloris will likely be the goalkeeper. Romero, Dier and Davies could well play ahead of him.
The wing-back positions may be filled by Reguilon and Doherty. The midfield could see Hojbjerg and Bentancur play together.
The front three is likely to remain unchanged with the impressing Kulusevski complimenting deadly duo Kane and Son.
Predicted Tottenham XI: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Doherty, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Reguilon; Kulusevski, Kane, Son
