Ronaldo issues five-word Man Utd rallying cry after naming source of Solskjaer struggles

Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted that Manchester United need time to adapt following their successful summer transfer window.

The Red Devils reached a crossroads at the end of last season. While they ended their semi-final hoodoo under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to reach the Europa League final, they lost on penalties.

As such, Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane came in to try to get the club over the line.

However, the club’s start to this term has not been as successful as Solskjaer hoped. United have collected only one point from their past three Premier League games and Ronaldo has saved them twice in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Gary Neville voiced concerns for his former side’s work – or lack of it – off the ball. Paul Scholes also admitted that going 2-0 down to Atalanta on Wednesday was a major worry.

According to Ronaldo, though, the new signings need time to properly settle in and show their best.

“We are in a moment in my opinion that United do a few changes; they buy me, they buy Varane and Sancho,” the 36-year-old told Sky Sports.

“The adaptation will take time, even the system of the game that we play, but I think step by step we have to put it in our mind that everything is possible.”

He added that he has been brought back to Old Trafford to score goals and use his experience. However, he insisted that every player in the dressing room must know what to do.

“I don’t speak only about my individual stuff, I put the collective in first place,” he said. “To win things as a collective, it’s more easy to win individual stuff, I still think it’s possible.

“Everyone should know their role.”

Report reveals Ronaldo, Man Utd rant

Meanwhile, reports have revealed how Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes inspired United’s win over Atalanta in the dressing room at half time.

The Red Devils looked in serious trouble at Old Trafford on Wednesday, but they turned it around after the break.

Ronaldo reportedly took charge in the dressing room with a rousing speech to his team-mates.

Fernandes also chipped in, urging a change in tactics that helped him influence the game more.
