Terms spelled out for transfer green light with Chelsea tracking French destroyer

Monaco have made it clear what the terms of the potential sale of Aurelien Tchouameni are, with the midfield general reportedly on the shortlist of potential Chelsea signings.

The midfielder is claimed to be high on Thomas Tuchel‘s list of potential signings for Chelsea. Monaco are becoming somewhat of a feeder team to big clubs of late, and a move for Tchouameni would continue that trend.

Fabinho, Youri Tielemans and Bernardo Silva are just a few names that have left Monaco for the Premier League in recent years. They have all prospered with their new sides.

That gives optimism to a move for Tchouameni. Although, it will not be cheap should Thomas Tuchel’s side attempt to land the 21-year-old.

Monaco will reportedly reject any offer below €40million for their young star, per transfer guru Ekrem Konur.

Tchouameni has made three appearances for France, and has impressed so far. This development in his career is likely to further bump up his price tag.

Current Blues midfielder, N’Golo Kante, recently turned 30, and Jorginho is soon to join him. Chelsea, therefore, seem keen to bring in a ready-made star in midfield, while also preparing for the future.

Tchouameni ticks a lot of boxes for Chelsea. While there is a sense he could be compared to Tiemoue Bakayoko – who made the swap from Monaco to Chelsea in 2017 – Tchouameni is seen as a much more talented prospect.

Tchouameni has featured in 14 games already this season. The youngster is proving his worth at such a young age. He is particularly known for dominating the successful tackles and interception statistics.

Should he continue to develop, his future will likely lay away from Ligue 1. That is an issue facing a great number of  France’s current golden generation.

Chelsea keen on multiple transfers

Along with Tchouameni, Chelsea are reportedly interested in bringing in a few more talents to the club.

One player Chelsea are interested in is Villarreal defender Pau Torres.

With Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger all out of contract in the summer, Chelsea are keen to bring in some new talent at centre-back.

They also appear interested in Jules Kounde and Nicolas Sule. Although, it may be difficult to complete a deal for at least one of those players.
