Tottenham told not to waste time and tie down star to new deal
Former Tottenham defender Ramon Vega has urged the club to offer a veteran star a new contract as soon as possible.
Spurs skipper Hugo Lloris led France to his second major international honour on Sunday as they Spain to crowned Nations League winners. The stopper impressed again as his side recorded a 2-1 victory, although he remains without trophyless in north London.
The 34-year-old is currently in the final year of his contract at Tottenham after joining the club in 2012.
Recent reports have suggested that a new contract is just around the corner. However, Pierluigi Gollini’s summer arrival – albeit on loan – sparked rumours that Spurs were ready to move on from Lloris.
But the experienced stopper has impressed early in the new campaign, despite a rollercoaster star under Nuno Espirito Santo.
To that end, Vega has taken to social media to urge the club to get Lloris tied down.
@SpursOfficial don’t wait to extend Hugo’s contract just do it !!!! Privilege to have such a good goal keeper at the club .

Tottenham tipped for double raid
Meanwhile, Tottenham are being tipped to make a £51million double raid on Juventus for Weston McKennie and Dejan Kulusevski.
Sporting director Fabio Paratici is expected to be a busy man again when the January window opens, with numerous names being banded around to join the club. However, it would appear that the Juve duo are genuinely attainable targets.
Calciomercato reports that Sweden forward Kulusevski has yet to convince Max Allegri he is worthy of regular first-team football, with Juve having spent €40m on the player two years ago.
The report adds that Spurs will try and sign the forward on loan with an obligation to buy for a similar amount to what Juventus paid for him.
As for McKennie, who is also a target for West Ham, the price tag is reportedly no less than €20m. Juve are looking immediate buyers due to the player’s reported ‘off-field behaviour’.
Paratici knows the player well, having him brought him to Turin during his time at Juve.
If the two players are signed that would add up to €60m double deal, as Tottenham look to get back in the mix for regular Champions League qualification.
