However, Arsenal have made no contact with Haaland’s representatives so far. The north London club are aware of the situation but have not made the City forward a concrete transfer target yet.
That could change if Manchester City face a major sporting punishment following the Premier League’s financial ruling. City have been found guilty of 114 of the 115 charges brought against them and have appealed the decision, with possible sanctions including relegation.
Haaland future takes another twist
Barcelona are believed to be positioning themselves strongly for Haaland, with the Catalan giants looking at the striker as a potential long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski. Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also understood to be monitoring the 26-year-old’s situation.
TEAMtalk’s Graeme Bailey has reported that Haaland and his camp have been considering 2027 as a possible transfer window, regardless of the outcome of City’s case.
The striker’s current contract runs until 2034 and contains no relegation clause, meaning any potential departure would still require a major transfer agreement.
