Chelsea batting back bids for attacker as transfer stance is revealed
Chelsea have reportedly turned down several enquiries to sell an attacking star this summer, as they wait to bring in a replacement first.
The Blues are well known to be in the hunt for a new No. 9, with the likes of Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowksi all linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge this summer. However, they are not prepared to sell any of their own forwards until they have a new name on board.
England striker Tammy Abraham has been linked with West Ham, Aston Villa and even Arsenal. There has also been talk of him being involved in a potential swap deal with Borussia Dortmund’s Haaland.
With Kai Havertz and Timo Werner going nowhere, Abraham is the one facing the axe if a big name arrives.
However, according to transfer insider Kristian Sturt, the Blues has so far ‘rebuked’ several enquiries from Premier League clubs to sign the player.
They have taken the stance that Abraham will only go if a replacement is found first.
Chelsea are also keen on a permanent exit for Abraham, with a loan deal seemingly out of the question.

Tuchel doesn’t fancy Abraham
The striker rarely featured for Thomas Tuchel after the German took over from Frank Lampard. That ultimately cost him a place in England’s Euro 2020 squad.
Of the three strikers linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge, Haaland appears to be the most likely to sign.
The Norwegian will cost well over £100m, with some reports suggesting that Roman Abramovich is willing to pay up to £150m.
However, Dortmund are so far refusing to budge – especially after decided to sell Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.
Chelsea’s search is now expected to go on, with Abraham on standby for an exit at any point.
